The Phantom of the Opera - Manila

Based on the 1910 horror novel by Gaston Leroux, which has been adapted into countless films, The Phantom of the Opera follows a deformed composer who haunts the grand Paris Opera House. Sheltered from the outside world in an underground cavern, the lonely, romantic man tutors and composes operas for Christine, a gorgeous young soprano star-to-be. As Christine’s star rises, and a handsome suitor from her past enters the picture, the Phantom grows mad, terrorizing the opera house owners and company with his murderous ways. Still, Christine finds herself drawn to the mystery man. Audiences agree—The Phantom of the Opera is Broadway’s longest-running hit. Ever.

The Phantom of the Opera is a timeless musical that every people would love. Many theater-goers never missed this production with amazing production design. Every details of set, costume, and even props are fantastic and dazzling to the eye. Just felt the excitement before watching the show.

While watching the show, I can't resist my eyes to see those details and their movement. Felt surreal. The show is almost perfect and somehow there were minor froths that might notice. But everything are great.

The best part I enjoyed the most was the chandelier. When the overture plays, the chandelier's movement and lights synchronized to the beat. Very amazing. Also when the chandelier dropped.

The Phantom of the Opera opened last 20th of February 2019, Wednesday and still showing throughout March 2019. And final shows extension through April 2019. The production must closed by 6th of April 2019.
